In most cases we use fabric direct from our own mill. In this case, however, we are proud to sell the Pristine TM name made by Precision Fabrics. Pristine TM is one of the most well known allergen barrier fabrics on the market.
This membrane free fabric is a patented, tightly woven microfiber piece of material. There is no urethane or "membrane" on the back of the fabric which gives it that cool, smooth, breathable feeling you get with your best sheets!
- With a mean flow pore size diameter of 2.8 microns, this fabric is one of the most effective barriers against pet dander, dust mites, bed bugs and other harmful allergens.
- A much tighter weave and higher thread count offers the best in durability from laundering.
- 3.3 oz per square yard with 275 threads stitched per square inch.
- Air permeability reading of 5 which indicates a wonderfully cool fabric.
- All our covers are sewn with 12 stitches per inch for ultimate strength in the seams to prevent tearing.

Bought this to cut down on a regional problem with itch mites. While the cover doesn't prevent the itch mites from getting into house through windows it does keep all other bugs from getting into my mattress and setting up residence! Fiber is not noticed under sheets, no noise from crinkling fiber, no moisture from sweating. This cover is just terrfic!
