Allergy Pillows

For those with extreme reactions to dust, dust mites and other particles, allergists recommend using pillows made with allergen barrier fabrics as an integral part of ones allergy prevention solution. Our pillow shell is the actual 100% cotton dust mite proof fabric! The filling is the 100% polyester fiberfill that almost all pillows use today. Remember that most companies sell only a "hypoallergenic" pillow which does nothing for dust mite and dander protection. The fabric they use is simply an inexpensive polyester. Always be sure to ask what the fabric and filling specifications are so you know what you are really buying.

This membrane free fabric is a patented, tightly woven microfiber piece of material:

• There is no urethane or "membrane" on the back of the fabric which gives it that cool, smooth, breathable feeling you get with your best sheets!
• With a mean flow pore size diameter of 4.9 microns, this fabric is one of the most effective barriers against pet dander, dust mites, bed bugs and other harmful allergens.
• A much tighter weave and higher thread count offers the best in durability from laundering.
• 4 oz per square yard with 280 threads stitched per square inch.
• Air permeability reading of 5 which indicates a wonderfully cool fabric.
• All covers are sewn with a "safety" double stitch and at least 12 stitches/inch.
